Job summary

CAC I is seeking a Junior Application Developer to launch your development career on a fast-paced Agile NGA team building GEOINT applications. You will contribute to modern web-based software that supports national security missions and gain hands-on experience with GIS technologies, cloud-native architectures, and large-scale data environments.

You will learn from experienced developers, work on Java and/or Python features, and participate in code reviews, testing, and secure coding practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline (equivalent experience accepted).
  • 0–3 years of professional software development experience.
  • Experience developing software using Java, Python, or both (academic, internship, or professional).
  • Familiarity with web application development concepts and technologies.
  • Understanding of relational databases and basic data modeling principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Security Clearance (TS/SCI) with willingness to undergo polygraph examination.

  • Develop, test, and maintain application features under the guidance of senior developers.

  • Support integration of application components with APIs, services, and databases.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, test, and maintain application features under the guidance of senior developers.

  • Experience using geospatial software such as Esri ArcGIS Pro / ArcGIS Enterprise and related APIs.
