Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited in Santa Clara, CA seeks an Engineer to design, develop and deploy applications and integrations using Python, SQL, APIs and modern engineering practices. You will prototype PoCs, evaluate AI/GenAI tech, and support production deployments.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, cloud and containerization skills, and collaboration with customers and product teams to deliver business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on programming in Python with strong coding and debugging skills.
• Experience in SQL, data processing and relational databases.
• Experience in developing and consuming REST APIs and enterprise integrations.
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with Git, version control and CI/CD practices.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• 1 year experience building or supporting AI/GenAI apps using LLMs, Prompt Engineering and RAG.
• Minimum 1 year experience in troubleshooting, testing, deployment and production support.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer challenges and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy applications, APIs and integrations using modern engineering practices.
• Build PoCs and rapidly prototype solutions to validate requirements.
• Continuously evaluate and apply emerging technologies, including AI/GenAI, to enterprise problems.
• Troubleshoot application, integration and production issues through debugging and root cause analysis.
• Work with Cloud, Containerization and CI/CD technologies to support production deployments.
• Collaborate with customers, architects, product teams and engineering stakeholders to deliver outcomes.
