Job summary

Noun Systems Inc’s Technical Solutions division is seeking a Junior AI Engineer to advance ML work from lab to real-world deployments, focusing on supervised learning, RL, and the MLOps foundations needed to operationalize them in Lexington, MA.

You will develop, train, and evaluate models, build training data pipelines, and collaborate with data scientists and other teams while communicating results through written and oral presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM field required.
• 1-3 years of hands-on deep learning with supervised/unsupervised/RL.
• Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow or Jax.

Responsibilities

• Identify and design training datasets for model development.
• Implement and customize ML models based on open literature.
• Develop and maintain MLOps pipelines for training and deployment workflows.

Noun Systems Inc’s Technical Solutions division is hiring a Junior AI Engineer to help move machine learning work from the lab into real-world deployments. This role focuses on building and evaluating supervised learning and reinforcement learning models, along with the MLOps foundations required to operationalize them.

The position is based in Lexington, MA and is an onsite opportunity. The salary range is USD 70,000 - 125,000 per year, with a requirement of 1+ years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.

What you’ll do

• Help identify and design training data sets for model development.
• Implement and customize machine learning models based on approaches from open literature.
• Develop and maintain MLOps pipelines to support model training and deployment workflows.
• Develop, train, and analyze models for both supervised learning and reinforcement learning.
• Visualize results and communicate findings through written documents and oral presentations.
• Support multiple teams and collaborate effectively with other teammates.
• Work across a variety of projects, including engagements with other data scientists and opportunities to help educate non-data-science teams on the value and limitations of ML solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
• Academic, internship, or professional experience in AI development (including RL, XAI, LLM).
• 1-3 years of hands-on experience with deep learning models (supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning) using PyTorch, Tensorflow, or Jax.
• Ability to possess or obtain an active Secret clearance.
• Hands-on experience with deep learning models and software development fundamentals in Python.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A team player who can work on a variety of machine learning projects as opportunities arise.
