Job summary

U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) seeks a Junior DevSecOps Engineer – AI-Enabled Cloud Automation in Reston. You will build and secure cloud pipelines, implement IaC, and automate compliance for FedRAMP/NIST while enabling AI-assisted tooling for quality and speed.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years in DevOps/DevSecOps, hands-on AWS, CDK/CloudFormation, and scripting in Python or Bash; U.S. citizenship is required with ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years DevOps/DevSecOps experience.
• Hands-on AWS and IaC using CDK/CloudFormation.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling and security automation.
• Scripting in Python or Bash.
• Strong communication/presentation skills; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline and CodeBuild.
• Implement IaC with AWS CDK/CloudFormation; automate provisioning.
• Integrate SAST/DAST/SCA and policy-as-code into pipelines.
• Automate evidence for FedRAMP/NIST controls.
• Support deployment automation incl. blue/green and canary.
• Embed AI-assisted tooling for scanning, testing and pipeline authoring.
• Monitor pipeline health and improve delivery metrics.
