Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton seeks an AI Software Developer, Junior to advance Navy cyber missions in the San Diego region. You’ll contribute across advisory discussions, solution planning, and hands-on integration, including AI-enabled automation and analytics to reduce risk and improve mission workflows.

You will design, implement, test, and integrate scripts, services, and APIs while documenting security implications and collaborating with cybersecurity and mission stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or STEM field.
• Secret clearance required.
• Ability to obtain DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II within 30 days of hire.
• Experience writing, testing, and debugging Python.
• Experience integrating an API or service (REST) or automating workflows.
• Experience using Git in a professional role or internship.

Responsibilities

• Understand the client and clarify objectives, constraints, and security boundaries.
• Shape solutions with technical approaches, tradeoffs, and implementation plans.
• Deliver hands-on work: design, implement, test, and troubleshoot scripts, services, APIs, or automation.
• Integrate systems and data safely using REST/HTTP APIs and data stores.
• Document design notes and operational implications for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Align work with RMF, security controls, and secure engineering practices.
• Use version control and lightweight testing; stay current on responsible AI in government.
