Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services is seeking an Accountant I – Regional County Funds in Oktibbeha County, MS. The role ensures accurate processing of purchase orders and service requests, and supports the financial staff with documentation, reconciliations, and compliance.

You will review bank statements, monitor ledgers for child funds, and verify cash and donation logs while maintaining confidentiality within the payroll department and ensuring adherence to State Office

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience preferred; payroll and reconciling experience is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of purchase orders and service requests.
• Review and approve MACWIS service requests before PO issuance.
• Assist financial staff with required documentation for service requests.
• Approve bank statements to maintain accurate financial records.
• Review monthly bank reconciliations and monitor account balances.
• Review and approve cash and donation receipt logs.
• Ensure Social Security Folders compliance and non-compliance reporting.
• Maintain confidentiality in payroll duties per policy.
