Vistra Corporate Services in Irving, Texas is seeking an Accountant I to contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of the accounting program by performing essential accounting tasks and supporting daily accounting operations.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree (Accounting/Finance) and 0–3 years of experience; energy industry exposure is a plus. Proficiency with accounting systems, strong financial analysis, problem solving, and a mindset focused on process improvement are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred (in Accounting, Finance, or related field)
• Experience: 0-3 years in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience preferred in the Energy industry, but not required
• Skills: Experience with accounting and/or reporting systems
• Skills: Strong financial analysis, problem solving & communication skills
• Skills: Process improvement oriented
• Skills: Fundamental understanding of the accounting close process

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned tasks with accuracy and adherence to procedures and controls
