Job summary

Firestone Walker is seeking a Junior Accountant to support daily accounting across our Paso Robles operations. This entry-level role offers hands-on exposure to journal entries, reconciliations, and inventory movements, with a clear path to Staff Accountant.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in accounting or finance and have 1+ year of accounting or auditing experience, plus strong Excel skills and a willingness to learn our ERP system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or similar field of study.
• 1+ years of experience (or internship) in audit or accounting.
• Experience building and using complex Excel workbooks.
• Experience with an ERP system is a plus (we’ll train you).

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for a diverse range of transactions including retail operations, expenses, payments, and inventory movements.
• Review inventory count sheets, unit conversions, and related adjustments.
• Manage certain bank and payment processes.
• Contribute to the preparation of various tax filings and internal reports.
• Analyze, investigate, and document account and margin variances.
• Drive ongoing process improvement to improve quality and efficiency.
