Job summary

Ascential Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join its corporate accounting team at the Grand Rapids, MI site. This early-career role offers exposure to monthly closes, journal entries, reconciliations, and internal controls within a multi-site manufacturing environment.

You will support audits, assist with tax-related activities, and collaborate with the Corporate Controller to ensure accuracy and compliance in financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 0–2 years accounting experience.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and fundamental accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes by preparing journal entries and maintaining schedules.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with intercompany reconciliations and track outstanding items for timely settlement.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation calculations.
• Support lease accounting under ASC 842 and maintain data accuracy.
