TAPPI is looking for a Junior Account Manager to support its volunteer-driven initiatives focused on committee activities and scholarship programs. This Junior Account Manager position focuses on supporting TAPPI's volunteer-driven initiatives, with a strong emphasis on committee activities, webinars, and the awards and scholarship programs. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth within association management and volunteer relations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Volunteer and Committee Support:
o Manage and lead the awards and scholarship programs for TAPPI and the Association Management Services (AMS) clients.
o Act as a primary interface for TAPPI volunteers at times, providing excellent customer service and fostering strong relationships.
o Participate in and support assigned Division/Committee conference calls, committee meetings, and on-site meetings, including assisting with agendas, minutes, and action items.
o Maintain committee rosters and guidance manuals and coordinate meeting materials.
o Support the day-to-day needs and activities of assigned member groups in compliance with TAPPI's operating and strategic plans and bylaws.
o Coordinate with other TAPPI departments to foster a collaborative environment and ensure member group goals are met.
• Webinar and Content Development:
o Oversee and assist with the development, marketing, and delivery of webinars within the TAPPI divisions.
o Provide content for marketing materials for events, including email campaigns, and website design/edits.
• Product and Service Support:
o Support Account/Division Managers in the coordination and production of various TAPPI products and services, including events, publications, standards, training, and membership.
o Assist with the coordination of conference program development activities for assigned groups.
o Embrace a 100%-member interface role with complete ownership and accountability for all assigned member group needs.
o Solicit feedback and encourage participation and ongoing membership in TAPPI.
o Ability to multitask and facilitate multiple projects simultaneously.
o Other duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge & Requirements:
o Experience in customer service and a desire to build team-based relationships with TAPPI volunteers.
o Attention to detail and results-oriented problem solving with strong project management skills. Highly proactive and self motivated. The ability to prioritize competing projects is a must.
o Strong written and verbal communication as this position frequently communicates with members, volunteers, and stakeholders, both internally and externally.
o Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), web-based tools (Zoom, Survey Monkey), and social media.
o Ability to travel (~10-15%). Mobility onsite at conferences.
o Role is highly stationary, typically, in front of a computer.

o No direct reports for this position.
