Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking entry-level professionals or interns to support a variety of engineering and geosciences projects. As a new graduate, you will collaborate with experienced engineers to gain hands-on experience in water/wastewater, civil, geotechnical, environmental science, and environmental engineering projects.

You’ll contribute to design, analysis, and field activities while developing core skills through mentorship and internal training.

Qualifications

• Recent graduates or individuals with up to 2 years of experience in any listed engineering or geosciences fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, geology, or related field.
• Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and a passion for engineering solutions.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Desire to learn, grow, and develop professionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design, analysis, and management of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Work on projects that support environmental sustainability and community health.
• Support civil engineering projects involving site development, land development, mining, and construction management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Conduct site investigations and geotechnical analysis for construction projects.
• Assist with soil testing, foundation design, and slope stability assessments.
• Support environmental teams in environmental assessments, environmental planning and permitting, and site characterization and remediation efforts.
• Assist with ecological field assessments, plant and wildlife identification, wetland delineation, and environmental compliance.
• Assist with the design and implementation of environmental solutions, including water treatment, waste management, and sustainability projects.
• Support environmental assessments, regulatory compliance, and site remediation efforts.
• Contribute to the design, analysis, and maintenance of bridges and other critical structures.
• Apply engineering principles to ensure safety, efficiency, and structural integrity.
• Assist with the planning, design, and implementation of transportation infrastructure projects.
• Work on projects ranging from roadway design to traffic analysis and transportation systems planning.
• Responsible for ensuring all construction project objectives and standards are met.
• Partner with clients and teams across transportation, water, energy, and facilities to manage construction risks, guarantee quality, cut long-term maintenance costs, and protect the public.
