The Neil Jones Food Company is an industry leader, processing superior quality fresh-packed, vine-ripened California tomatoes and Pacific Northwest fruit. Headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, NJFC has been providing our nation’s discerning foodservice, retail, industrial and institutional customers with the finest quality canned and pouched products for over 50 years. NJFC operates three production facilities: Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA.

We are looking for a Juice Lead to oversee the daily operations of the Juice Department, ensuring production efficiency, quality control, food safety compliance, and employee coordination. This role will be responsible for serving as the first point of contact for operators and ensures that all juice production processes are executed safely, accurately, and on schedule at our Northwest Packing plant in Vancouver, WA.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate daily start-up, changeovers, and shut-down procedures for juice processing lines.
  2. Ensure production schedules are followed and completed in a timely, efficient, and safe manner.
  3. Perform line checks and quality assurance verifications according to company standards.
  4. Troubleshoot mechanical and processing issues and escalate concerns when necessary.
  5. Ensure operators follow proper procedures and maintain sanitary and safety standards.
Requirements
  1. High school diploma or equivalent required, and technical/vocational training in food manufacturing or processing preferred.
  2. At least 3 years of experience in a food manufacturing or beverage/juice production environment and at least 1 year of leadership or team lead experience in a production setting preferred.
  3. Proficient in basic computers and able to use production software; familiarity with SCADA, HMI, or automated control systems a plus.
  4. Forklift certification.
  5. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and to work extended schedule and weekends during the fresh pack season, typically July to early November.
Compensation

The hourly union wage is $25.04 - $29.42, based on experience and qualifications.
