Job Title: Assistant Juice Bar Manager

Department: Juice Bar / Bakery

Reports To: Juice Bar / Bakery Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary

Manage the department and staff, including financial stewardship, customer service, merchandising, food safety, safety, communication, hiring, training, and performance management. Lead with company values to promote a positive work environment aligned with our mission and policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Engage customers warmly, share product info, and assist throughout the store
• Manage time effectively, adapt to changing priorities
• Represent company values, collaborate positively with team members
• Provide and receive constructive feedback, foster open communication
• Build a collaborative team environment, recognize staff contributions, resolve conflicts proactively
• Conserve resources, adhere to safety and sustainability policies
• Maintain store cleanliness, equipment, and compliance with regulations

Position Responsibilities

• Partner with manager to oversee all departmental areas
• Guide and coach staff, ensure quality standards
• Maintain department appearance, signage, staffing, and service levels
• Plan for promotions, holidays, and events
• Assist in inventories, scheduling, and performance reviews
• Create attractive product displays
• Prepare and present Juice Bar products, manage stock and quality
• Handle merchandise receiving and quality checks
• Stay informed on products, industry trends, and dietary restrictions
• Work with management on labor, sales, and margin goals
• Maintain organized inventory and handle damaged products
• Train staff on equipment, troubleshoot issues
• Balance administrative tasks with on-floor presence
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications

• Retail management experience, preferably in grocery or food service
• Knowledge of Juice Bar, cheese, bread, or pastry products preferred
• Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Excel and inventory software

• Basic to intermediate math skills

• Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting, standing, and working in various environments
