Job summary

CACI International is seeking a JTAC Instructor/Operator to operate Fire Support/Terminal Attack Control simulators and provide Close Air Support familiarization. You will plan, develop, and synchronize JTAC training activities and create realistic simulator scenarios across LVCG and STE platforms.

The role requires Secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility, JTAC-I/E certification, and operational JTAC experience with SOF.

Qualifications

• Secret Security Clearance with TS/SCI eligibility.
• JTAC Instructor or Evaluator (JTAC-I/E) certification.
• Operational JTAC experience with Special Operations Forces (SOF).
• Experience planning, coordinating, and employing lethal and nonlethal fires.
• Experience with JTAC simulators, simulation software and training aids.
• Proficient with Military air-ground communications systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide Terminal Attack Control academic instruction in accordance with USSOCOM 350-5 and as aligned with the JTAC MOA.
• Provide academic and practical instruction for all aspects of Fire Support including TAC, NavalGunfire, Call for Fire, AC-130, and Attack Aviation.
• Operate Fire Support/Terminal Attack Control simulators and provide instruction for USSOCOM JTACs, trainees and Close Air Support (CAS) familiarization.
• Plan, develop, schedule, and synchronize all aspects of the JTAC Trainer, as well as develop realistic and challenging simulator training scenarios in accordance with the unit’s Designed Operational Capabilities Statement.
• Attend simulator and operational conferences to stay current with software/hardware applications.
• Research new operational tactics, techniques and procedures for unit training.
• Maintain qualification and currency as required in accordance with provisions set forth in the JTAC MOA.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and other standard office automation tools.
• Work at customer facilities, which require the ability to operate in both conventional and austere locations.
• Travel to support the needs of the operating command as required by the operating command local requirements.
• Perform instruction, training, and education in field environments and under seasonal and adverse weather conditions.

The Opportunity:

• As a JTAC Instructor/Operator,you operate Fire Support/Terminal Attack Control simulators and provide instruction for Close Air Support (CAS) familiarization whenneeded.
• Additionally, JTAC Instructor/Operators will plan, develop, schedule, and synchronize all aspects of the JTAC Trainer/simulator, as well as develop realistic.
• With challenging simulator training scenarios in accordance with the supported commandsoperational outcomes and objectives.
• JTAC Instructor/Operators will advise and assist in the development training and mission rehearsal tasks with the intent to provide a common framework for integration of Live, Virtual, Constructive, Gaming (LVCG) and Synthetic Training Environment (STE) systems/platforms, and simulation/emulation of JTAC and Forward Observer devices in use and/or advancements or life cycle replacement of JTAC and Forward Observer targeting/target acquisition devices.

• Perform instruction, training, and education in field environments requiring movement/transportation via watercraft, aircraft, and/or ground vehicular means.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Secret Security Clearance with TS/SCI eligibility.
• Certified as Joint Terminal Attack Controller Instructor or Evaluator (JTAC-I/E) while serving as a member of United States Armed Forces.
• Operational JTAC experience with Special Operations Forces (SOF).

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$66,400 - $139,600
