Job description

QUALITY CONSULTING GROUP, a leader in the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devices, and manufacturing industry, is looking for a talented, highly motivated, and enthusiastic individual to join our team. In this role, you’ll work with a highly enthusiastic team, contributing to a world-class manufacturing industry in Puerto Rico & USA.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform work planning demand and supply requirements with minimal supervision.
  2. Analyze, consolidate, and report demand to management, co-workers, and customers.
  3. Develop multiple scenarios to assist in driving long-range plans and capacity analysis.
  4. Maintain excellent communication lines with all sources of demand.
  5. Use credibility, planning knowledge, and expertise to influence demand processes as appropriate.
  6. Track and analyze monthly performance metrics and reports to help improve the quality of outputs.
  7. Develop and provide monthly planning models for all products, implementing inventory control and process development techniques to minimize variability and maximize production utilization.
  8. Manage the expedition of product releases to alleviate inventory shortages through business management and departmental correspondence.
  9. Represent PPIC on current and new Product/Operations Development Teams to ensure product manufacturability, efficient production methods, and plant efficacy.
  10. Perform other functions as assigned. Provide training on planning processes, functions, and procedures to intra- and inter-departmental staff.
  11. Educate and inform on planning and product decision-making processes to improve communication pathways within PPIC and related departments.
  12. Understand how PPIC fits within logistics and business processes to identify development opportunities and promote continuous improvement.
  13. Provide leadership, guidance, mentorship, and training to other planners to enhance departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
  14. Represent PPIC in cross-functional teams and projects as directed by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience managing requisitions and PO conversions in SAP.
  • Experience in Raw Materials Planning.
  • Experience with Rapid Response (preferred).
  • Proficiency in SAP.
  • Ability to manage supplier communication and escalation regarding PO issues such as delivery delays, discrepancies, and missing documents.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience participating in projects.
  • Knowledge of Smartsheet or similar reporting tools for metrics.
  • Availability for 1st shift (8 hours).
