Job summary

Qualifications

  • Retired officer or NCO status required for the JROTC instructor role.
  • Certified as a JROTC instructor by appropriate military service.
  • Valid Kansas Driver's License throughout employment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher or Associate degree required per position.

Responsibilities

  • Administers the high school JROTC program per military service regulations and district policies.
  • Plan, organize, and instruct a four-year JROTC curriculum with schedules and course syllabi.
  • Maintain government property and school assets valued at ~$90,000+, with 100% inventories.
  • Grow the program through counseling, outreach to counselors, civic groups and parents; coordinate activities and cadets’ participation.
  • Meet deadlines and submit required military service and district reports.
