Position:

JRMS Spring Musical (Play) Producer 2026-2027 (Spring 2027)

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all aspects of production with the artistic staff, including the director, musical director, choreographer, and accompanist.
• Contract with outside professionals: lighting, sound, videographer, backdrop supplier
• Organize parent volunteers – schedule meetings, interface with parent volunteers to ensure that all aspects of the production are on-time and on-budget: set design and construction, costume design and construction, props, make-up, publicity, ticket sales, concessions, programs including outside advertisers and printing, backstage help during performance week.
• Supervise high school interns
• Select and supervise the student stage crew
• Interface with building administrators as per student behavior and academic standards
• Maintain web page (Google Classroom) as the primary source of information for families
• Maintain parent contact through email
• Schedule building use for auditions, rehearsals, and performances
• Oversee all aspects of the budget
• Attend auditions, rehearsals, and performances until the last child is picked up on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3:50 PM to 5:45 PM for the first six weeks of production. During the last week of rehearsal and the performance week, attendance is required every weekday from 3:50 PM to 7:00 PM for rehearsal and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM for performances. Saturday matinee requires attendance from 2:00 to 8:00 pm.
• On-site supervision of parent volunteers during “load-in” on Saturday and Sunday before the production. Supervise “strike” after the last performance.
