Job summary

Rycon Construction is seeking an experienced Estimator for our Fort Myers office to support commercial interior renovations and tenant improvements. You will calculate quantity take-offs, estimate costs, and forecast pricing for projects up to $5 million, while creating bid packages and assisting with data analysis.

Qualifications

• 3+ years estimating commercial interior renovation, tenant improvement, and/or fit-out projects up to $5M.
• Experience in quantity take-offs.
• Strong communication skills in person, on the phone, and via email.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Fort Myers market knowledge preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Calculate quantity take offs and estimate costs and conceptual budgets for estimating construction projects.
• Research and forecast material, labor, and equipment pricing for cost estimating projects.
• Participate in data gathering to support market condition research across construction sectors.
• Enter calculated and researched data into estimating software programs.
• Create scopes of work and bid packages for multiple trades to ensure nothing is missed.
• Assist the estimating team with data conversions and analysis of estimating efforts.
• Respond to inquiries from clients, regulatory agencies, or community members.

We are seeking an experienced construction Estimator for our Fort Myers office.

What you will do:

• Calculate quantity take offs and estimate costs and conceptual budgets for estimating construction projects.
• Research and forecast material, labor, and equipment pricing for cost estimating projects.
• Participate in gathering of data to support market condition research, inclusive of but not limited toconstruction economic, trends, current projects, contractor's availability and skill sets, labor force, and other miscellaneous contributions on aspects of construction.
• Enter calculate and researched data into computer utilizing specific cost estimating software programs.
• Create scopes of work and bid packages of multiple trades to ensure nothing is missed for the project team.
• Assist the estimating team with data conversions and analysis of cost estimating efforts in format and easily understandable.
• Respond to common inquiries or issues from clients, regulatory agencies, or member of the business and general community at large.

What you will need to be successful:

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience estimating commercial interior renovation, tenant improvement, and/or fit out projects up to $5 million.
• Must be experienced in quantity take-offs.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person, on the phone, and through email.
• Must have the ability to read drawings and interpret specifications.
• Computer skills required – Microsoft Project, MC2, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Knowledge of Fort Myers market preferred, but not required.
