Job summary

Accel Entertainment is seeking a Junior Systems Developer to build and modernize gaming systems, including interfaces for data, payments, controllers, and legacy applications. You will collaborate with business stakeholders and Accel engineers to implement new features and update existing systems.

This role reports to the Senior Systems Developer. Preferred primary location: Las Vegas, NV; preferred secondary location: Chicago, IL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in marketing, communications, or a related field.
• 2+ years of C#, JavaScript, and .NET development experience, with focus on secure, reliable, scalable, auditable, and compliant solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy gaming systems with stakeholders, infrastructure engineers, and QA.
• Upgrade and enhance controllers, devices, UIs, and payment systems.
• Build thin-client UIs in C# and .NET to replace thick clients.
• Reverse engineer legacy code and integrate functionality into modern C#-based services.
• Integrate gaming systems with accounting and marketing systems.
• Create and manage GitHub repositories and CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
