Job summary

Associates Systems LLC is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a Full Time or Contract role in Tucson, AZ. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in STEM and at least five years of experience in mechanical design and production support. Mechanical Engineer

Employment type: Full Time w-2 or Contract. Rate: open to Negotiation. Location: Tucson, AZ or Tewksbury, MA.

Responsibilities

• Research, plan, design and develop mechanical test systems in areas including vibration, thermal, hydraulic, radio frequency, and electro-optical for production testing environments.
• Integrate and validate test systems against stringent accuracy and reliability requirements.
• Product verification, qualification, test data analysis, and production test solution development.
• Evaluate production installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum five (5) years of work experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of work experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of technical/engineering experience in mechanical design and/or production support.
• Minimum of three (3) years experience with CAD solid modeling tools and analysis tools with an emphasis on ProE/CREO Parametric.
• Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerance analysis.
• Experience creating mechanical drawing packages.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Pluses

• Design experience with mechanical and electronic packaging.
• Experience with Configuration Management processes, application, and tools (e.g., Windchill/cPDM).
• Experience with cable design, specifically CREO Schematic.
