Job summary

UC Health in the United States is seeking a Junior Project Manager to join our PMO. This entry-level role provides hands-on experience across project management disciplines while supporting administrative, technical, and financial aspects from start to finish.

You will collaborate with Portfolio, Program, and Project managers across initiatives, ensuring timely delivery, documentation, and cross-functional coordination that aligns with healthcare standards.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Strong interest in project management.
  • Academic level of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to actively listen and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced self-directed environment with clear deadlines.
  • High computer literacy.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with project scoping, gather business requirements, maintain project documentation, track performance metrics and support reporting.
  • Support budget tracking, resource planning, risk identification and compliance activities to ensure project alignment with standards.
  • Stay current on healthcare industry trends and project management best practices to contribute to process improvements.

Job Description

The Junior Project Manager will operate as an entry level position allowing the employee to gain experience in hands on work across the PMO. Primary responsibilities will be in assisting managing and supervising administrative, technical, and financial aspects of assigned projects from start to finish. This role will work alongside our Portfolio, Program, and Project managers to gain knowledge in different areas.

This role supports the successful planning, execution, and delivery of strategic initiatives by assisting project managers and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. This role contributes to multiple projects utilizing a variety of project management methodologies and delivery frameworks while ensuring effective communication, documentation, and coordination from project intake through implementation.
