Job summary

Massive Bio is seeking a Junior Product Manager to join the Product team and own a defined area of our AI-powered oncology platform. You will work with Engineering, Data and AI, Clinical Operations, and Provider Engagement to drive delivery and outcomes.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in product-related roles, strong written communication, and comfort with data. You will collaborate across time zones and contribute to rapid, evidence-based prioritization and documentation.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of experience in product management or closely adjacent roles with a clear move toward product.
• Able to write clearly and precisely for cross-time-zone teams.
• Comfortable with data: spreadsheets and product analytics tools; reason about what numbers show.
• Willing to hold technical conversations with engineers; no coding required.

Responsibilities

• Own a defined surface of the platform, backlog, release notes, and success measures.
• Write detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and specs for engineering.
• Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release planning with multiple time zones.
• Pull and analyze product analytics; build reporting for your area to inform prioritization.
• Talk to users across Clinical Operations, Patient Relations, and Provider Engagement to understand real usage.
• Validate releases against acceptance criteria and monitor post-release outcomes.
• Maintain up-to-date area documentation for distributed teams.

About The Role

We are hiring a Junior Product Manager to join the Product team and take ownership of a defined part of Massive Bio's AI-powered oncology platform. This is a role for someone early in a product career who wants to learn the craft on a product where the outcome matters.

You will work alongside senior product managers and report into Product leadership. You will own a specific product area rather than the whole platform, with the scope growing as you do. You will work daily with Engineering, Data and AI, Clinical Operations, and Provider Engagement.

What You'll Do

• Own a product area: Take responsibility for a defined surface of the platform, its backlog, its release notes, and the measures that say whether it is working.
• Write the detail: Turn product direction into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and specifications that engineering can build from without having to guess.
• Run the delivery rhythm: Participate in and then lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release planning with engineering squads across multiple time zones.
• Work the data: Pull and read product analytics, build the reporting for your area, and bring evidence rather than opinion to prioritization conversations.
• Talk to users: Sit with Clinical Operations, Patient Relations, and Provider Engagement to understand how the product is actually used, and turn what you hear into prioritized work.
• Test what ships: Validate releases against acceptance criteria before they go out, and follow what happens after.
• Document: Keep the documentation for your area current, so distributed teams can rely on it.

Who You Are

Required

• 1 to 3 years of experience in product management, or in a closely adjacent role such as business analysis, technical program management, product operations, or QA, with a clear move toward product.
• Able to write clearly and precisely. Most of this job is written communication with people in other time zones.
• Comfortable with data: able to work in spreadsheets and product analytics tools, and to reason about what a number actually shows.
• Willing to hold a technical conversation with engineers. You do not need to code, but you need to understand what is being built.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to healthcare, biotech, oncology, or clinical trial operations.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks relevant to health data (HIPAA, GDPR, mCODE).
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, or comparable delivery tooling.
• A technical background, or prior work as an engineer, data analyst, or clinical data specialist.
• Experience working in a distributed team across time zones.
