Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking financial management professionals to support a Department of Defense client in Arlington, TX. Roles span accounting, audit, internal controls, and financial policy with exposure to GAAP, GAGAS, ICOFR, and DoD structures.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field and 0–1 year of experience. Candidates must obtain a Secret clearance; DoD experience and related certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must understand GAAP and government auditing standards (GAGAS).
• Understanding ICOFR and IT controls relevant to DoD financial management.
• Familiarity with DoD financial management policies and DoD organizational structures.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial management, accounting, audit, and internal controls support for a DoD client.
• Contribute to financial audit statements and audit readiness efforts.
• Understand OMB policies and federal financial management systems.
• Understand DoD acquisition, inventory, property and material management.

What You Will Do

Guidehouse is currently seeking financial management professionals in support of our Department of Defense client. These teammates will bring a vast range of experiences across financial management, accounting, audit, internal controls, and financial policy.

• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS), Internal Control Over Financial Reporting (ICOFR), DoD financial management policies and procedures and DoD organizational structures


• Financial audit statements and audit readiness services


• Understanding of Office of Management and Budget (OMB) policies and federal financial management systems


• Understanding of DoD acquisition, inventory, property and material management

What You Will Need

• Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "SECRET" security clearance; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of clearance prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE "SECRET" or higher-level clearance are preferred.


• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Business Management/Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Data Science


• ZERO (0) to ONE (1) years of professional experience

What Would Be Nice To Have

• Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or Business Management/Administration


• Experience in Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB) Statement of Federal Financial Accounting Standards (SFFAS) 6 (Property, Plant and Equipment), 10 (Internal Use Software), 50 (Establishing Opening Balances for Property, Plant and Equipment) and/or 54 (Leases)


• Experience in OMB Circular A-123 and/or A-136


• Federal Financial Management or Federal Accounting experience supporting the Department(s) of the Air Force, Army, and/or Navy.


• Currently possess one or more of the following certifications:
