Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking financial management professionals to support a Department of Defense client. The role covers accounting, audit, internal controls, and business process remediation with exposure to ERP systems and OMB policies.

Candidates should have 2+ years supporting federal audit remediation, with a bachelor's degree and the ability to obtain/maintain a SECRET clearance. Master’s degree and certain certifications are nice to have. Travel up to 10% is possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years supporting federal audit remediation with audit liaison, internal controls testing, and corrective action planning.
• Experience in accounting, audit, budget, finance, internal controls, and business process improvement is preferred.
• Active or ability-to-obtain a DoD SECRET clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial management support for a DoD client within Guidehouse.
• Assist in audit remediation, sustainment, and financial statement reporting and analysis.
• Support ICOFR, GAGAS, GAAP, and ERP-related compliance and process improvements.
• Collaborate on DoD acquisition, inventory, property, and material management initiatives.

What You Will Do:

Guidehouse is currently seeking financial management professionals in support of our Department of Defense client.

These teammates will bring a vast range of experiences across financial management, accounting, audit, internal controls, business process remediation, change management, and strategic communication.

Our Guidehouse team will provide:

• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS), Internal Control Over Financial Reporting (ICOFR), DoD financial management policies and procedures and DoD organizational structures
• Expert support for audit remediation, sustainment, and financial statement reporting and analysis
• Understanding of current trends in enhancing compliance with accounting and auditing standards within an Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP)
• Understanding of Office of Management and Budget (OMB) policies and federal financial management systems
• Understanding of DoD acquisition, inventory, property and material management

What You Will Need:

Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "SECRET" security clearance; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of clearance prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE "SECRET" or higher-level clearance are preferred. Bachelor’s degree TWO (2) or more years of experience supporting federal audit remediation efforts, including audit liaison, internal controls testing, corrective action planning, and accelerated audit strategies, with experience in accounting, audit, budget, finance, internal controls, and business process improvement. This position may require days to be spent in a GH office.

• Federal Financial Management or Federal Accounting experience supporting the Department(s) of the Air Force, Army, and/or Navy
