Job summary

BeaconFire Inc. is seeking a Java Software Engineer to join a Scrum team in the United States. You will design, develop, test, and deploy scalable Java applications, with emphasis on Spring AI, RAG pipelines, and modern APIs.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams and rigorous coding standards are expected. The role requires working through the full development lifecycle, producing clean code, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• SDLC understanding required.
• OOP fundamentals and data structures knowledge.
• Relational DBs (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and basic SQL skills.
• APIs and collections knowledge helpful.

Key Responsibilities

• Write clean and efficient code, and ensure code maintainability and reusability.
• Conduct Testing to ensure application and reliability.
• Perform code reviews to ensure code quality, consistency, and adherence to best practices.
• Participate in Agile Scrum team and own the full development lifecycle, including project planning, design, implementation, testing, and optimization.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for applications, APIs, and deployment procedures.
• Ship to production: APIs, monitoring/observability, cost/performance optimization, CI/CD, and security best practices.
• Stay up to date with the latest technologies for Java development. AI Integration
• Implement RAG pipelines using Spring AI and LangChain4j with vector database integration.
• Stay up to date with the latest RAG technologies and best practices, including chunking strategies, embeddings, retrieval optimization, and reranking techniques. Requirement:

• Basic programming skills using object-oriented programming (OOP) languages with in-depth knowledge of common APIs and data structures like Collections, Maps, lists, Sets, etc.

• 0-1 year of practical experience in Java coding
