We are seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to play an integral role in the planning, designing, developing, and maintenance of print and electronic creative materials for clients in the animal and human healthcare B2B space. You will collaborate closely with the creative team to uphold professional graphics and brand identity standards across all deliverables - taking projects from concept through release with creativity, quality, and consistency. This is a hybrid role based out of our Kansas City, MO office. This role is for someone who brings strong design instincts, takes ownership of their work, and uses AI tools as a natural part of the creative process to move faster and produce stronger output.

What You\u2019ll Do

• Design layouts and artwork for printed materials including publications, newsletters, flyers, and catalogs, ensuring every deliverable meets client-specific requirements and brand standards
• Use AI tools to accelerate concepting, generate creative variations, enhance imagery, support copywriting for design context, and streamline production workflows - integrating AI into your creative process as a standard working method
• Create online deliverables including email campaign creative and the development and maintenance of client websites
• Take ownership of projects from concept through release, maintaining creativity, quality, consistency, and relevance at every stage
• Ensure production deadlines are met, guidelines and procedures are followed, and quality control measures are implemented across all active projects
• Assist in leading and maintaining creative projects across multiple clients simultaneously, applying your design expertise to meet diverse requirements
• Collaborate effectively with the broader team, communicating clearly and contributing to a high-quality, client-focused creative environment

What Sets You Apart

• Proficiency in design software including Figma and Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign - with a portfolio that showcases your creative range and technical capability
• An AI-native mindset. You actively use tools such as Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, ChatGPT, or Claude to support concepting, image generation, copy development, and production efficiency - and you can clearly explain how AI enhances your creative output without replacing your judgment
• Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout with demonstrated ability to apply them across print and digital formats
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
• Demonstrated creativity and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take a brief from concept through execution independently
• Experience in brand development and strategy, including executing cohesive brand identities across platforms, preferred
• Familiarity with motion graphics and video editing software such as Adobe After Effects or Premiere Pro preferred
• Knowledge of print production processes including prepress preparation and file management preferred
• Experience with email building tools such as Mailchimp or Emma, WordPress, and basic HTML and CSS preferred
• Bachelor\u2019s degree required; entry-level candidates with a relevant degree and strong portfolio encouraged to apply

Candidates should be prepared to discuss how they are currently using AI in their design or creative work. This includes:

• Specific tools in active use - such as Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, ChatGPT, or Claude - and how they are applied to concepting, image generation, design iteration, or production tasks
• Examples of how AI has helped you produce stronger creative work, explore more concepts in less time, or improve the quality and consistency of final deliverables
• How you maintain creative ownership and quality control when using AI-generated elements within client-facing work
• Bonus: examples of AI-enhanced creative projects or workflows that improved output quality, accelerated production, or expanded what you were able to deliver for a client
