Job description

Oneida Professional Services (OTS) is actively seeking a highly motivated, full-time Junior Field Engineer (A) in Los Angeles, CA.

Compensation: $20 / Hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-call support by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems received via the ServiceNow ticketing system.
  • Interact with network services, software systems engineering, and applications development to restore service and identify core problems.
  • Recommend system modifications to reduce user problems.
  • Perform routine system maintenance, including hardware configurations and component replacements.
  • Install operating system patches and upgrades via SCCM Software Center.
  • Provide remote support for telework/home users.
  • Ensure user applications work over VPN and Citrix.

Additional responsibilities include managing user relocation requests, ensuring device encryption, local on-site cabling, supporting enterprise groups, restarting network equipment, assisting with wireless services, asset inventory, disposal preparation, video conferencing setup, supporting application releases, analyzing support trends, and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma with 0-2 years of experience or equivalent.
  • High technical proficiency.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to obtain and hold a Public Trust Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 6 months’ experience troubleshooting Apple Macintosh hardware/software in a customer service role.
  • Microsoft OS certification.
  • Familiarity with SCCM remote resolution and software installation.
  • Certifications: CompTIA Network+, A+, Server+, Security+.
