The Role

As a Closing Specialist, you will manage documents and files throughout the settlement process. This position is partially remote, working from home and our Seattle office. All equipment will be provided, and training will be remote.

Responsibilities
  1. Add fees and charges to create Closing Disclosures and Closing Statements for real estate settlements, including recording fees, transfer taxes, property taxes, commissions, utility bills, homeowners association fees, and contract credits.
  2. Coordinate with mortgage lenders to balance Borrowers’ Closing Disclosures, obtain loan documents, and authorize disbursements post-closure.
  3. Develop and maintain good relationships with lenders.
  4. Ensure loan documents match title documents accurately.
  5. Balance files internally to ensure all funds match precisely.
Skills and Experience
  • At least 3 years of escrow experience, especially in preparing Closing Disclosures and Statements.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working with numbers and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a changing environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy.
  • Tech-savvy and quick to learn new programs.
