Job summary

Motorsport Network, LLC is seeking a senior manufacturing design engineer to develop 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings for CNC machining, water/laser cutting, and fabrication. You will define manufacturing specs and support vehicle build with precise manufacturing information.

The role requires a strong background in design engineering, extensive CAD experience (NX preferred), and knowledge of automotive or motorsport systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Automotive Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the motorsports, military, or automotive industries.
• Prior experience in manufacturing is required.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software (Siemens NX preferred).
• Strong background in design engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of automotive or motorsport mechanical systems.
• Proven problem-solving abilities across diverse challenges.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with FEA and CFD software is a plus.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
• Ability to research and select components suited to specific design needs.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models, assemblies, and 2D engineering drawings, including defining and documenting manufacturing specifications.
• Produce detailed engineering drawings to meet high industry standards.
• Support vehicle build and production with manufacturing information to aid in the assembly process.

Job description

In this role, you'll play a key part in developing and supporting our manufacturing department, working on everything from modern race vehicles to historic restorations.

We are looking for a candidate with experience using Siemens NX, SolidWorks, or similar 3D CAD software. You'll be responsible for creating detailed CAD models and engineering drawings for CNC machining, water/laser cutting, and fabrication, as well as providing innovative engineering solutions for challenges in vehicle design.
