APQC, a Houston-based nonprofit, is seeking a data-oriented engineer to manage our Microsoft Fabric environment, build Power BI reports, and support data workflows. You will work under the Azure Cloud and Fabric Development Engineer and contribute to the evolution of our analytics platform.
The role focuses on day-to-day Fabric operations, report development with DAX and Power Query, and light SQL development, with about 10% travel and full-time hours in Houston.

Reporting to the Azure Cloud and Fabric Development Engineer, this position keeps APQC’s Microsoft Fabric environment running day to day and turns the data it holds into reporting the business can act on. The role handles routine Fabric operations, builds and maintains Power BI reports and semantic models, and performs light development work under the direction of the Azure Cloud and Fabric Development Engineer. The position also serves as trained backup support for APQC’s custom-built Phoenix application and benchmarking databases.
This is a growth-oriented role. The successful candidate will work against a documented development plan set with their manager, receive regular code and solution reviews, and take on progressively more complex development and design work as their skills mature. The position is full-time, 10% travel, and located in Houston, Texas.
