Job summary

DataBank Holdings Ltd. is seeking a Jr. Critical Infrastructure Engineer to join our on-site team and help ensure 100% uptime for data center operations.

You will work closely with senior engineers to maintain, support, and optimize critical facility systems including power, HVAC, and life safety, while assisting with customer installations and project delivery. The role requires 1–3 years in facility operations within data centers or similar environments, strong communication, and familiarity

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of facility operations experience in data centers, telecommunications, or similar mission-critical environments.
• Familiarity with maintenance management and ticketing software platforms.
• Ability to operate in high-availability, 24/7/365 environments and coordinate with vendors.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Foundational knowledge of UPS, generators, HVAC, fire safety, and building automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and review maintenance methods, standards, and procedures for facility equipment.
• Collaborate with the Chief Engineer on planning and delivering customer solutions (space, power, cooling).
• Support daily operations of critical infrastructure systems and rapid incident response.
• Assist in generating up-to-date facility and compliance reports.
• Provide technical support during customer installations and integrations.

As a Jr. Critical Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring 100% uptime of our data center operations, supporting mission-critical infrastructure for both the company and our customers. This position reports on-site and works closely with senior engineering staff and site operations teams to maintain, support, and optimize all technical aspects of facility operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and review maintenance methods, standards, and operating procedures for all facility equipment.
• Collaborate with the Chief Engineer to plan and execute customer solutions, including space, power, and cooling requirements.
• Support the daily operations of critical infrastructure systems-including power, HVAC, and life safety equipment-ensuring optimal performance and rapid incident response.
• Assist in generating and maintaining up-to-date facility and compliance reports.
• Provide technical support during customer installations and integrations, ensuring successful project completion.
• Address operational issues promptly to uphold our commitment to 100% uptime.
• Liaise effectively with operations management, vendors, and stakeholders to implement and track solutions.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience in facility operations within data centers, telecommunications, or similar mission-critical environments.
• Familiarity with maintenance management and ticketing software platforms.
• Capable of working in high-pressure, high-availability (24/7/365) environments, including vendor coordination and emergency response.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Foundational knowledge of mission-critical facility systems, including Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), generators, mechanical, and fire safety systems.
• Understanding of building automation systems, energy management, and control systems for mechanical and electrical infrastructure.
• Strong multi-tasking and time management skills; ability to meet shifting deadlines.
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.

Compensation:

Salary range: $75,000 - $90,000 (commensurate with experience), plus full benefits package.
