Job summary

Mayfair Management Group is seeking a Junior Compliance Auditor to ensure program and state compliance within the assigned portfolio, focusing on LIHTC and affordable housing rules. You will review rental packets, move-in docs, and recertifications, provide guidance to staff, and support audits for lenders and regulators.

We value accuracy, confidentiality, and teamwork in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years working with LIHTC.
• Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Word; YARDI experience preferred.
• Typing speed of 40 words per minute.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and returns initial rental application packets within 48 hours.
• Reviews and returns all non-income qualified file corrections within 24 hours.
• Reviews and returns all move-in documentation by the 10th of every month.
• Reviews and submits annual Recertification files whose income exceeds the 60% limit within 7 days.
• Reviews and submits online reports as required by state finance agency.
• Ongoing review of primary utility allowances within portfolio for timely implementation.
• Provides training and guidance to persons within assigned portfolio.
• Preparation and submission of file audits for lenders, syndicators, owners, and state & federal government agencies.
• Other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Compliance.

JUNIOR COMPLIANCE AUDITOR

JUNIOR COMPLIANCE AUDITOR

As a Junior Compliance Auditor, you will be responsible for ensuring that all facets of program & state compliance within the assigned portfolio is maintained.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reviews and returns initial rental application packets within 48 hours
• Reviews and returns all non-income qualified file corrections within 24 hours
• Reviews and returns all move in documentation by the 10 th of every month
• Reviews and returns all Annual Recertification files whose income exceeds the current 60% income limit within 7 days
• Reviews and submits online reports as required by applicable state finance agency
• Ongoing review of primary utility allowances within assigned portfolio to ensure timely & accurate implementation
• Provides training and guidance to persons within assigned portfolio
• Preparation and submission of file audits as requested by lenders, syndicators, owners, and state & federal government agencies

• Other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Compliance.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 2 years working with Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC)
• Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Working knowledge of Microsoft Word
• Accurate typing speed of 40 words per minute
• Working knowledge of YARDI
• Program training certification preferred, not required
