Job summary

Lever, Inc. is seeking an entry-level cloud infrastructure specialist in the United States to assist in deploying VMs, storage, and networking, and to monitor performance with cloud tools.

You will write automation scripts, apply security best practices, and collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines. The role requires hands-on cloud experience, strong communication, and the ability to work in a team environment.

Qualifications

• BA or BS degree, or at least 2-4 years of experience in related field
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with ability to influence and collaborate with leadership, peers, and team members
• Approved to work in the United States
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Hands-on cloud architecture/engineering experience, services, migration, and security including FedRAMP IaaS, PaaS, SaaS
• Experience with Cloud-based Computer Network Defense (CND)
• Experience with cloud automation and scripting (Auto-scale, Azure Resource management, Scripting, PowerShell)

Responsibilities

• Assist in deploying and configuring virtual machines, storage, and networking components

• Identify, document, and resolve minor infra issues
• Write and maintain basic scripts to automate routine tasks
• Apply security best practices like managing user access, firewalls, and security groups
• Work with developers and DevOps teams to support deployment and CI/CD pipelines
• Maintain basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, load balancers, and Linux/Windows systems
• Update technical documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures
• Provide first-level support for cloud system issues and monitor logs
• Learn and apply Terraform or Ansible to manage repeatable deployments

• Assist in deploying and configuring virtual machines, storage (S3/Blob), and networking components (VPCs, subnets)
• Foundational understanding of at least one major cloud provider.
• Track system performance metrics using tools like AWS CloudWatch or Azure Monitor, ensuring high availability.
• Identify, document, and resolve minor technical issues or infrastructure errors.
• Write and maintain basic scripts using Python, PowerShell, or Bash to automate routine tasks.
• Apply security best practices, such as managing user access, firewalls, and security groups.
• Work with developers and DevOps teams to support application deployment and CI/CD pipelines.
• Basic grasp of TCP/IP, DNS, load balancers, firewalls, and comfort working with Linux or Windows operating systems.
• Update technical documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Provide first-level support for cloud system issues, monitor network and application logs, and help resolve downtime.
• Write and maintain basic automation scripts using languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Learn and apply tools like Terraform or Ansible to manage repeatable infrastructure deployments.
