Job summary

CTS Complete Technical Services seeks a Civil Engineer to oversee design and execution of site development and infrastructure projects in Texas, delivering on-site coordination and technical deliverables with cross-discipline collaboration to meet budget and schedule targets.

The role includes supervising junior engineers, managing requisitions for small projects, and reporting to the Lead Discipline Engineer while ensuring quality and HSE objectives on each assignment.

Qualifications

• 2–12 years of design and execution experience.
• Construction site experience.
• Fluency in professional English; PE registration or ability to obtain within 4 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate technical specifications and requisitions with other disciplines.
• Ensure contractual technical specifications are met by external parties/suppliers.
• Maintain communication with vendors and provide technical follow-up on orders.
• Adhere to project targets for technical robustness, budget, and schedule.
• Propose alternates for cost and schedule savings and energy efficiency.
• Report progress on engineering/requisition activities to the Lead Discipline Engineer and ensure QA/QC and HSE compliance.

Job description

Technical responsibility of material requisitions / calculations / engineering deliverables (from technical specifications to on-site delivery) for civil site development and infrastructure including site preparation, erosion control, rough grading, finish grading, drainage works through underground or surface networks, pond / containment design, flood mitigation, roadways, railways, and transportation.

About the Job

• Ensures timely and qualitative preparation of technical specifications and requisitions / CN / stress report / engineering deliverables in coordination with other disciplines.
• Ensures contractual technical specifications are met by external parties / suppliers.
• Ensures proper communication with vendors and technical follow up of the orders.
• Adheres to project target and priority such as technical robustness, budget & schedule target
• Proposes alternate for cost & schedule savings, energy savings in line with project target
• Ensures timely reporting on engineering / requisitioning activities to the Lead Discipline Engineer.
• Meets quality and HSE objectives of the project.
• Interfaces with other discipline specialist engineers and possibly project support functions such as procurement and planning.
• Supports more junior engineering employees.
• For small requisition / standard equipment, acts as project manager for his requisition in charge of technical, contractual, expediting and inspection with spot support from project / procurement.

• Overall responsibility for engineering / contractual & quality control surveillance for civil site development and infrastructure works.

About you

• 2 to 12 years of experience in design and execution of projects
• Familiarity with all technical aspects of the discipline and experience in most of them
• Construction experience on site
• Fluency in professional English
• Professional Engineering registration in Texas and/or Louisiana or possess ability to obtain within 4 months of hire.
• Proficiency in software such as Autodesk InfoWorks ICM, Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis (SSA) or EPA SWMM
