Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will possess experience with cellular technologies, modem diagnostics, carrier certification processes, and wireless network troubleshooting. This role will work closely with product engineering teams, wireless carriers, certification labs, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful product releases and network interoperability.Your roleConfigure, provision, and troubleshoot cellular devices to ensure reliable connectivity with base stations, cell towers, and carrier networks.Perform modem diagnostics and device provisioning using tools such as QXDM, AT Commands, Linux, Tera Term, and carrier certification test platforms.Analyze logs, protocol traces, and diagnostic data to identify and resolve registration, connectivity, throughput, latency, and IP data session issues.Support FCC and wireless carrier certification activities for cellular-enabled products prior to commercial release.Collaborate with internal engineering teams and wireless carriers, including Verizon, Bell Canada, and other network operators, to manage IMEI assignments, device activation, and network access requirements.Coordinate with third-party certification labs, hardware engineering, firmware development, and product teams to investigate and resolve technical issues.Manage multiple certification and validation projects simultaneously while ensuring test readiness, milestone achievement, and on-time delivery.Develop and maintain technical documentation, certification reports, troubleshooting guides, and test procedures.Support root cause analysis and issue resolution for field and lab-reported cellular network problems.Participate in product validation, interoperability testing, and pre-release certification activities.Your skills and experience3+ years of experience in cellular networking, wireless certification, telecom testing, or related engineering roles.Degree in Engineering (technology, network & systems, or electrical)Hands-on experience with modem diagnostics and troubleshooting using QXDM, AT Commands, Linux, and Tera Term.Strong understanding of LTE, 5G, cellular network architecture, registration procedures, and IP data connectivity.Experience analyzing protocol logs, call traces, modem logs, and network performance data.Knowledge of FCC certification processes and carrier certification requirements.Experience working directly with wireless carriers such as Verizon, Bell Canada, AT&T, T-Mobile, Rogers, or similar operators.Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, firmware, networking, and carrier infrastructure domains.Experience supporting product validation, interoperability testing, and certification lab activities.Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritize deliverables in a fast-paced environment.Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering and business teams.The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $38,435-$89,848.Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws.
