Job summary

Apex Fintech Solutions is seeking a motivated Jr Agency Trader to join our Dallas trading desk. You will execute trades, resolve issues, and maintain strong client relationships in a fast-paced, regulatory-focused environment.

This role is ideal for early-career traders aiming to grow into leadership within a dynamic agency-focused broker-dealer that supports equities, options, fixed income, and currencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field preferred.
• FINRA SIE, Series 7, Series 57 and Series 63 licensing required.
• Strong trading and financial markets knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Trade Execution: manage and execute electronic and manual trades across platforms.
• Trade Issue Resolution: identify and resolve trading errors to maintain integrity and accuracy.
• Client Support & Communication: act as primary contact during outages; liaise with exchanges and partners.
• Price & Settlement Negotiation: negotiate prices and settlements for clients.
• Research and Reporting: research prices and market issues; prepare daily reconciliation reports.
• Operational Support: provide trading and client support to enhance experience.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

Apex Fintech Solutions is an agency-focused broker-dealer executing trades on behalf of introducing firms and their clients across equities, options, fixed income, and currencies. We are seeking a motivated Jr Agency Trader to join our Dallas trading desk, where precision, regulatory rigor, and strong client relationships drive everything we do.

This role is well-suited to an early-career trader who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and wants to build a career working closely with both internal teams and external introducing firms to deliver best-in-class execution and client support.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Trade Execution: Manage and execute electronic and manual trades across multiple platforms, ensuring accuracy and full compliance with applicable regulations and client directives.
• Trade Issue Resolution: Identify, manage, and resolve trading errors made by employees or the firm to maintain integrity and accuracy within trade operations. Provide immediate assistance to clients with trade errors and issues, guiding them through the resolution process.
• Client Support & Communication: Serve as a primary contact during system outages, keeping clients and internal teams informed and coordinated. Regularly liaise with exchanges, trading partners, and vendors to maintain seamless operations.
• Price & Settlement Negotiation: Engage with market participants to negotiate prices and settlements, optimizing financial outcomes for clients.
• Research and Reporting: Research prices and market issues and report findings to relevant parties. Prepare daily reports on special handling trades and complete reconciliation tasks.
• Operational Support: Provide comprehensive operational and trading support to clients, enhancing their trading experience and outcomes.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in trading or securities operations.
• Multitasking & Flexibility: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing market conditions.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to explain complex trading concepts clearly to clients and coordinate smoothly with market participants.
• Customer Focus: Strong commitment to customer service and client satisfaction.
• Technology Aptitude: Comfortable learning and applying trading platforms and other technology tools to solve operational problems and improve workflow efficiency.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous with trade entries, record-keeping, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all transactions.
• Growth Potential: Eagerness to develop into training and project leadership responsibilities as experience grows, including the ability to conduct training sessions and lead project teams, both in writing and verbally.

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of various financial instruments, including equities, options, and fixed income.
• Solid understanding of current market regulations.
• Series 4 and Series 24 certifications.

Education & Licensing

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred.
• FINRA SIE, Series 7, Series 57, and Series 63 required; candidates without current licensing must be willing and able to obtain them shortly after joining Apex.

Work Environment & Schedule

• Hybrid, office-based role in Dallas, TX.
• Hours generally align with U.S. market open/close; some early start or extended hours may be required around market events.
