Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced, self-motivated Project Manager/Estimator to oversee disaster restoration and reconstruction projects from initial estimate to completion. The role involves approximately 40% fieldwork and 60% office work, supported by an administrative team. Enjoy a flexible schedule and a collaborative team environment, emphasizing work/life balance.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Conducting field inspections
  2. Preparing estimates using XActimate or Symbility
  3. Communicating with insurance adjusters and owners to facilitate project completion
  4. Coordinating with contractors and vendors to meet schedules
  5. Managing change orders
  6. Ensuring quality control
  7. Providing exceptional customer service
  8. Adhering to budget constraints

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of construction-related Project Management experience with high-end home builders or small general contractors, or experience as a property claims field adjuster
  • Experience with residential (70%) and light commercial (30%) projects, ranging from $5K to $2M
  • Established contacts with local subcontractors and vendors
  • Knowledge of construction cost control procedures
  • Ability to interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and schedules
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills using innovative methods in reconstruction
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication
  • Proficiency with XM8 (Xactimate), Symbility, DASH, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education:

  • 2-year technical degree or 4-year degree preferred
  • Restoration Industry Certifications from IICRC are a plus

Additional requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
  • Physical ability to climb ladders and stairs
