Job summary

The YMCA of Columbus is seeking an Early Childhood Music Instructor to lead parent/child music classes for children aged infant to 4 years old. You will plan engaging, developmentally appropriate activities focusing on music, movement, and social bonding in a warm, inclusive environment.

Responsibilities include delivering energetic classes, modeling caregiver engagement, maintaining records, and upholding YMCA safety policies.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children and families is preferred.
• Certifications: CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid certification must be obtained within the first 60 days.
• Must be at least 16 years old and have experience participating in the area of instruction.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead age-appropriate parent/child music classes with singing, rhythm, movement, and interactive play.
• Model engagement for caregivers and encourage bonding and early childhood development.
• Maintain class records and ensure safety and inclusivity in a welcoming space.
• Support YMCA values and assist in supervision of volunteers as needed.
