Child Development Schools in Savannah, GA is seeking an Assistant Teacher at Hodgson Memorial Dr to help create a classroom filled with discovery, creativity, learning, and joy. You will support the Lead Teacher and help deliver engaging activities that foster curiosity and growth.

Qualifications

At least 18 years old.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to pass a background check.
Genuine care for children and a commitment to their safety and well-being.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with families.
Physical ability to meet the demands of working with young children.

Responsibilities

Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities for the classroom
Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements
Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time
Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher
Build relationships with families through warm, consistent daily communication
Assist with classroom documentation including attendance and daily reports
