Responsibilities

• Create a warm, joyful, Christ-centered classroom where students are known, loved, and challenged.
• Provide developmentally appropriate instruction across academic, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual domains.
• Plan engaging learning experiences promoting early literacy, numeracy, language, creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving.
• Incorporate biblical truth and Christian worldview into daily rhythms.
• Establish routines, expectations, and age-appropriate behavior management.
• Build relationships and foster a classroom community of grace, joy, respect, and high expectations.
• Partner with parents through proactive, gracious communication.
• Help families understand their child’s growth and readiness for kindergarten.
• Plan and manage day-to-day Pre-K operations with ownership and independence.
• Maintain an organized, safe, attractive, developmentally appropriate classroom.
• Assess progress and communicate with parents and leadership.
• Collaborate with elementary teachers to ensure continuity with LCA programs.
• Participate in Lighthouse Christian Academy’s spiritual, professional, and community life.
