Aventura at Oakwood Village is hiring an Activities Assistant to engage residents in enjoyable, meaningful activities on site. The role focuses on promoting social interaction, well-being, and monthly recreation planning.

Responsibilities include documenting attendance, writing progress notes, and participating in care plan meetings as needed. Ideal candidates are friendly, reliable, and collaborative team players.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL preferred.
• Must be flexible and able to multitask.
• Past long-term care experience helpful.
• Must work every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Assist in activities with the residents.
• Plan and promote recreation-based activities that stimulate mind and body and promote social interaction.
• Provide input into the design of monthly recreation services.
• Document resident attendance and participation level at recreation programs.
• Write progress notes.
• Attend care plan meetings as appropriate.
