Job summary

Veregy in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Electrical Journeyman to install basic electrical systems in accordance with plans, codes, and standards. The role emphasizes safety, quality workmanship, and teamwork on decarbonization projects.

You will read drawings, coordinate with supervisors, and complete tasks on schedule while adhering to NEC guidelines and site procedures. Must have commercial electrical experience and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Commercial electrical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily production tasks.
• Follows company safety standards.
• Executes assigned task for electrical installation.
• Manages installations such that they meet all plans, specifications, applicable codes or other governing documents.
• Requests direction and clarification from supervisor on production goals.
• Completes tasks in a timely fashion as assigned by supervisor.
• Possess advanced expertise in all aspects of trade related materials, components, equipment, systems methods of installation, safety procedures, safe work practices, sizing and other calculations, use of hand and power tools.
• Demonstrates proficiency and familiarity with use of proper hand and power tools and operation of related equipment.
• Models and mentors safe work practices at all times to co-workers and other industry team partners.

Summary of Position Functions

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or four to five years or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Commercial electrical experience required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge in the use of NEC (National Electrical Code) book as reference material in performing or directing the performance of work.
• Knowledge of Veregy's services and processes is required which can be obtained through intellect, technical inclination, and dedication to gain such knowledge.
• Ability to read and accurately interpret project related drawings and documentation including plans, specifications, drawings, schematics, diagrams, sketches and blueprints to ensure proper installation means and methods.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time/workload.
• Ability to effectively complete time sensitive job duties and responsibilities.
• Ability to effectively respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and staff.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
