Job Title: Journeyperson Pipefitter/ Plumber & 4th Year Pipefitter - Wastewater Treatment Plant - Richmond, BC

Posting Start Date: 8/2/24

We are currently hiring for Journeyperson Pipefitter/ Plumber & 4th Year Pipefitter to join the team at one of our Water group projects in Richmond, BC for long term work!

In this role you will:

  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine layout requirements;
  • Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machine;
  • Select type and size of pipe required;
  • Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools;
  • Cement, solder, and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system;
  • Install supports, valves, piping and control systems;
  • Test system for leaks using testing equipment;
  • Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system;
  • Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system;
  • Work with power tools and heavy equipment.
  • Will consider JM Plumbers if they have large bore piping experience.
  • As Plumber, you will install large boring pipes, valves, and fixtures in wastewater treatment systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for plumbing layouts.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Journeyperson Pipefitter Certificate or be a Registered 4th Year Apprentice or a Journeyperson Plumber.
