Job summary

Reliable Safety and Flow Corporation is seeking a Journeyperson Millwright for our Columbia, PA plant. The role involves safe operation, diagnosing mechanical issues, and repairing equipment with a focus on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

You will read schematics, fabricate components, and install rebuilt assemblies. There is a 2nd/3rd shift differential; health benefits and a 401(k) plan are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience with safe mechanical maintenance practices.
• Ability to cut with a torch and read schematics.
• Proficiency in welding, fabrication, and basic measurements.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties safely and responsibly under supervision.
• Diagnose and repair tools and equipment for mechanical systems.
• Address mechanical failures and correct malfunctioning components.
• Manage motors and hydraulic/pneumatic systems operation.
• Analyze problems, plan maintenance, and implement fixes.
• Rebuild or install new/rebuilt assemblies in equipment.
• Weld broken parts and fabricate as needed.
• Read maintenance manuals and use diagrams for parts.

Key Responsibilities

Under general supervision, will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner
• Diagnostic and repair tools and equipment used in dissembling, repairing and installing mechanical equipment
• Common reasons for mechanical failure and the steps necessary to correct malfunctioning
• Responsible for varied types of motors and their operation
• Working with the Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems
• Analyze mechanical problems, organize assigned maintenance and repair work, and develop effective work methods
• Rebuild and install new and/or rebuilt assemblies in equipment
• Weld broken parts, burn and fabricate
• Reading and interpreting maintenance manuals, using diagram schematics and parts manual

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Skills Required:

• The ability to cut with a torch
• Welding experience
• Fabricating experience
• Trouble shooting pneumatic and hydraulics
• Excellent follow-up skills with the ability to complete assignments/projects through to completion
• The ability to work with different tools such as grinders, drills/hand and presses
• Can identify bearings
• Know and understand metric for measuring
• Being able to read a tape measure
• Ability to work independently
• Possesses a sense of urgency and ownership

• Starting pay rate $38.22. $2.00 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
