Job summary

ASC Engineered Solutions, LLC is seeking a Journeyperson Millwright for our Columbia, PA plant. This onsite, full-time position reports to onsite supervision and offers competitive hourly wages with a shift differential.

The role requires trade certification as a Journeyperson Millwright, with hands-on experience in welding, fabrication, pneumatics, and hydraulics, plus the ability to read maintenance manuals and schematics.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Millwright trade, labor grade 9, with related experience.
• Welding and fabrication skills required.
• Pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting ability.
• Reading maintenance manuals and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner.
• Diagnose, repair tools and equipment used in disassembly, repair and installation.
• Manage various motors and their operation.
• Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Analyze problems, organize maintenance and repair work, and develop methods.
• Rebuild and install assemblies in equipment.
• Weld parts and fabricate as needed.
• Read diagrams and manuals.

Compensation: $38.22 - $40.22 / hour

The following is a list of general responsibilities and skills necessary to perform the duties of the (Journeyperson Millwright) classification (labor grade (9)):

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner
• Diagnostic and repair tools and equipment used in dissembling, repairing and installing mechanical equipment
• Common reasons for mechanical failure and the steps necessary to correct malfunctioning
• Responsible for varied types of motors and their operation
• Working with the Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems
• Analyze mechanical problems, organize assigned maintenance and repair work, and develop effective work methods
• Rebuild and install new and/or rebuilt assemblies in equipment
• Weld broken parts, burn and fabricate
• Reading and interpreting maintenance manuals, using diagram schematics and parts manual

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• The ability to cut with a torch
• Welding experience
• Fabricating experience
• Trouble shooting pneumatic and hydraulics
• Excellent follow-up skills with the ability to complete assignments/projects through to completion
• The ability to work with different tools such as grinders, drills/hand and presses
• Can identify bearings
• Know and understand metric for measuring
• Being able to read a tape measure
• Ability to work independently
• Possesses a sense of urgency and ownership

• Starting pay rate $38.22. $2.00 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
