Job Summary

We are looking for a journeyman electrician to work on residential and commercial locations for JCE Inc. at our worksite in RIO RANCHO, NEW MEXICO. You should have solid troubleshooting skills and a good knowledge of proper safety procedures. We reward hard work and safety consciousness through incentive programs. Job Responsibilities
  1. Test electrical systems using tools such as voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and ohmmeters to identify issues, ensure safety, and verify compatibility.
  2. Document actions, testing results, observations, diagnoses, and steps taken to resolve issues for each job.
  3. Repair electrical issues by replacing or installing components, wiring, or devices.
  4. Assess electrical situations using testing devices, blueprints, and maps to determine necessary steps.
  5. Maintain a safe work environment by following all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements, and report violations to the supervisor.
  6. Use ladders, scaffolding, platforms, and lifts to work on electrical systems in residential homes, roadside poles, and commercial properties.
  7. Respond quickly to emergency calls, assess safety upon arrival, and provide guidance to affected individuals to ensure their safety and comfort.
  8. Maintain equipment in good condition and report any issues to the supervisor.
Job Skills & Qualifications
  • Completed electrician apprenticeship
  • Proficiency with the Electrical Code and local codes
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Must pass criminal background check and drug test
  • Valid state license
  • Minimum five years of experience in the construction industry
