Job summary

ESS Metron is hiring an Industrial Electrician to install electrical controls, wiring, safety and lighting systems in a busy manufacturing environment. A valid Journeyman Electrical License is required, with CO or reciprocal state eligibility.

You will read blueprints and schematics, run conduit, terminate large conductors, and assemble control panels while following safety protocols in a dynamic plant setting.

About this role

Join ESS Metron as an Industrial Electrician and take on a critical role in building high-quality power distribution solutions. You will be responsible for installing electrical controls, wiring, safety, and lighting systems from technical blueprints in an active manufacturing environment. This role requires a safety-conscious professional with strong technical skills and a valid Journeyman Electrical License.

What you'll be doing

• Champion a \"Safety First\" culture by modeling safe practices and promoting safety awareness across the team.


• Install electrical controls, wiring, safety, and lighting systems per technical blueprints and schematics


• Run conduit up to 4\" diameter (RMC) and bend conduit up to 2\" EMT and 1\" RMC.


• Terminate all wire sizes up to 500 Kcmil and perform control panel make-up, phasing, and medium voltage termination.


• Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and assembly/schematic drawings to guide work assignments.


• Use all relevant hand tools for commercial and industrial electrical installation.


• Assess and execute electrical requirements per assigned tasks with minimal supervision.

What you'll have

• High school diploma or GED required


• 5+ years of experience as an Electrician, Electrical Assembler, Wireman, or similar role.


• Valid Journeyman Electrical License (CO or reciprocal state).


• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and follow verbal instructions.


• High attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Physical requirements and work environment

• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods in an active manufacturing facility.


• Ability to regularly lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.


• Ability to work onsite with regular exposure to electrical hazards and moving mechanical parts.


• Exposure to moderate-to-high noise levels and varying temperatures.

Safety requirements

• PPE & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all site safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots).


• Hazard Awareness: Proactively identify, report, and mitigate potential workplace hazards or unsafe conditions.


• Standards: Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety training.


• Organization: Keep all work areas clean and free of obstructions to prevent workplace accidents.
