Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Journeyman Welder for the Canoga Park, CA location on 2nd shift. This union role involves welding various metals with GTAW processes, following blueprints and weld specs, and maintaining tight tolerances.

Responsibilities include setup, process flexibility, and ensuring compliance with certifications. Overtime may be required, with a comprehensive benefits package and a strong safety culture at the facility.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred; minimum 5 years of related experience.
• Fabrication/Welding schooling or equivalent can substitute for years of experience on a 2-to-1 basis.
• Three years GTAW experience welding hard alloys to class A requirements or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Set up weld operations and ensure weld acceptance criteria.
• Weld company products using certified processes with tight tolerances.
• Be flexible in job and process; perform GTAW, brazing, R&D and repairs as needed.
• Pass all required certifications and Journeyman certification as required.
• Maintain safety practices and PPE; work overtime as needed.
