Job summary

Wenthe-Davidson in Wisconsin is seeking a full-time toolroom specialist. This first shift role focuses on setting up and running mills, lathes, and grinders, reading blueprints, and creating CNC code.

You will repair tooling and fixtures while maintaining quality and safety in a growing facility. With 80+ years in tubular metal fabrication and 100% employee-owned culture, the company emphasizes precise workmanship and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Toolmaker or Journeyman Tool & Die credentials required.
• 5+ years of related experience in metal fabrication and tooling environments.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret tolerances accurately.
• Experience with CNC code or editing CNC programs when needed.
• Strong problem solving, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain tool room equipment (mills, lathes, grinders).
• Construct, alter, and repair tooling, dies, fixtures, gauges, and parts per prints.
• Read and interpret blueprints for parts to print and tolerances.
• Communicate print changes to team for documentation.
• Create CNC code and edit TRAK CNC controls when provided.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
• Report project progress and contingencies for missed deadlines.
