Job summary

Tigre USA is seeking a skilled Mold Maintenance Technician to sustain, repair, and modify injection molds and tooling. The role offers hands-on work with mills, lathes, drill presses, and grinders in a safety-conscious environment.

You will diagnose mold issues, perform preventive maintenance, verify tolerances, and coordinate with process technicians during installations. A Journeyman Tool & Die certificate and five years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical school credential required.
• Journeyman Tool & Die certificate required.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on mold maintenance and modification experience.
• Deep knowledge of injection molding equipment and PVC/CPVC materials.
• Fluent in English; Spanish bilingual is a plus.
• Strong math and measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mold issues and separate process, tool, and machine variables.
• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble tooling for preventive maintenance.
• Fabricate/repair cores, cavities, and components.
• Verify dimensional accuracy to print with trusted measurement methods.
• Work shoulder-to-shoulder with process and setup technicians to confirm accurate installations.
• Operate an overhead crane and follow established equipment parameters safely.
• Keep meticulous records, manage spares, and coordinate outside services when needed.
• Assemble special tools/fixtures and jump in as a setup mechanic or machine operator/grinder when production calls?
• Spot and report hazards immediately and uphold safety standards in the repair and storage area?
